IPEC Ltd are currently going through a fantastic period of growth, and because of this, a new position has become available for a Logistics Assistant to join the logistics team.
JOB PURPOSE
Supporting the logistics team with the smooth and timely movement of goods, materials and documentation, helping to meet production and delivery schedules across our global supply chain.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Collate shipping information and liaise with Freight forwarders / DHL on obtaining quotes.
Assist in planning, booking, and tracking inbound and outbound shipments.
Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely deliveries.
Prepare accurate shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, delivery notes).
Maintain up-to-date logistics records using ERP and tracking systems (SAGE, etc.).
Support customs clearance and ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
Communicate logistics status updates across departments (procurement, production, sales).
Help resolve logistics-related issues and discrepancies.
Contribute to continuous improvement within the logistics function.
Provide ad-hoc support for physical packing duties during peak periods.
SKILLS KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1 year in logistics, supply chain, or similar (manufacturing environment preferred).
Strong interest in logistics and supply chain operations.
Basic understanding of shipping, warehousing, and inventory processes.
Familiar with ERP/logistics systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle or equivalent).
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Well-organized with strong time management and attention to detail.
Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering quality work.
Able to work independently and collaboratively.
Thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
