The Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) project currently involves the planning, design and construction of circa 320km of new strategic, large diameter, clean water interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure across Anglian Water's region. The SPA Alliance is also taking on responsibility for the future interconnector pipelines, a further 260km of strategic interconnector pipelines and associated infrastructure.
The role would be hybrid, with occasional attendance at the Peterborough office and working from partner company office and home

The SPA GIS system is essential to supporting all phases of the projects, from consenting through construction to asset handover. Joining our team as a GIS Operator, you will contribute to managing SPA's enterprise GIS database, GIS task delivery (e.g. map production, survey support, analysis and automation). You will also have opportunities to identify and develop new workflows within the GIS environment.
Production of high-quality GIS outputs (maps and analysis)
Apply SPA GIS Standards, data management processes and procedures.
+ Appreciation of data management principles and processes. Data request management. Data registering, metadata and licence handling and maintenance.
Support the SPA Senior GIS Specialist and project teams to collect, collate, manage, analyse and share spatial data.
Support the SPA Senior GIS Specialist to improve data management processes, automation and integration.
Past record of utilising GIS platforms to successfully store and interpret GIS data for large infrastructure projects.
+ Experience working with a wide range of teams and data e.g.: Consenting (EIA submissions), ground investigations, geotech, utilities, site photos, hazards and risks, elevation data, design (CAD) and asset data.
Demonstrable experience with:
+ GIS desktop software and databases, preferably ArcPro v3.2 & above.
+ Mobile data collection: ESRI Field Maps and Survey123.
+ Experience with FME software, ArcGIS API for Python and data integration desirable.
GIS experience.
Delivering GIS solutions to large-scale infrastructure programmes of work.
Supporting GIS project deliverables such as EIA submissions, detailed design support, site team and construction management plans.
Applying GIS standards and knowledge of information management principles and processes.
Use of and setting up automated GIS data processing workflows.
* Advanced competency using GIS desktop software and databases ArcGIS Pro v3.2 and above.
