The Role



We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to support the scaling of POSTX's national logistics operations. You will be responsible for day to day coordination of transport activities, driver management and development while proactively collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

You enjoy troubleshooting, thinking on your feet, and finding creative solutions to challenges. You excel at keeping things structured, can prioritise competing and changing priorities and have a sharp eye for details that others might overlook.

Key Responsibilities:



Planning and Coordination

: Plan daily routes by pre-agreed time daily, and share with wider Operations team for transparency, in such a way that we utilise vehicles and trailers to maximise cost control while maintaining strong attention to detail. Once approved, advise Driver members on shift allocation to ensure smooth operations for timely deliveries, collections, and overall route completion.

Fleet Management Awareness

: Demonstrate thorough understanding of the POSTX fleet to aid in optimal route planning. Assist in Maintaining health checks of the fleet, where needed. Responsible for the overall reporting of any impact on the fleet caused by Driver members to ensure internal records are up-to-date and actionable by the wider Operations team.

Performance Monitoring & Improvement

: Utilise logistics management software for vehicle dispatching, tracking, and performance monitoring. Identify areas for operational efficiency improvements using data-driven insights.

Driver Management & Development

: Train, and manage drivers, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations. Conduct onboarding with strong focus on compliance and safety performance. Act as the main point of contact for drivers, managing scheduling and route allocation.

Technology & Systems Integration:

Utilise existing platforms to provide an up to date view of Driver utilisation and fleet state. Promote the adoption of digital tools that enhance visibility, efficiency, and data accuracy.

Regulatory Compliance & Safety Standards

: Ensure adherence to local and international transport regulations. Develop and enforce safety protocols, vehicle maintenance schedules, and compliance measures.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Coordination

: Work closely with the internal core team to maintain visibility of Drivers and fleet conditions: Coordinate with internal teams, customers, and third-party partners to ensure smooth operations.

What We're Looking For



Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, route planning or a similar role. A strong understanding of packing, shipping, and inventory management processes. Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pumptrucks; equipment and health and safety certification is a plus). Comfortable with occasional physical work that involves lifting and organising goods.

Bonus points



Proficient in basic maintenance and repair tasks, including addressing minor damage to trailers and vehicles. Experience using Samsara or logistics apps. Ability to take on new information and learn quickly. Previous experience in a startup environment or a willingness to embrace its dynamic nature is a plus. Passionate about improving workflows and making systems more efficient.

This position is offered initially on a self-employed contractor basis, remunerated at a rate of 15 per hour, based on an average of 45 hours per week. Subject to satisfactory performance and business needs, there may be the potential to transition to a PAYE employment arrangement at a later stage.
