European Trailer Services Ltd are a transport haulage company & are seeking a Logistics & Customer Service Assistant to join our team based in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire.

This role is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking for a career in the logistics industry. The selected candidate will be able to demonstrate a willing attitude to learn in their new role and integrate well into our small but friendly and experienced team. Experience is preferred for this role but extensive training will be provided by our experienced members of our team.

Job Duties

Help prepare bookings for outgoing shipments. Responding to email bookings from our customers in a timely & efficient manner Regularly monitoring shipment delivery dates & collections in both Europe & UK Creation of freight documents & sending those to our customers & suppliers Accurately creating shipments on our in-house database Multifreight. Supporting our accounts team to ensure shipment sales & costs are accurately inputted. Sending the required shipping & delivery documents to our European & UK partners Preparing & recording shipment paperwork & obtaining crucial documents from our suppliers. Answering & responding effectively to telephone calls from our customers & suppliers.
Essential Skills

Basic English & Maths skills An eagerness to learn new skills & embed themselves into a new environment An ability to organise workload effectively in a fast paced environment Work effectively within a small team Strong Microsoft Office skills
Preferred Skills

Experience with our system Multifreight Experience in a logistics environment Experience of communications with European customers Ability to problem solve under pressure
