We are looking for an organised, methodical and proactive Logistics Specialist who is comfortable with logistics and admin, able to use your own initiative, happy to take responsibility and confident to action, when needed. There may be the occasional driving, too.
Paramount are integrity, discretion, and honesty, when handling confidential and sensitive information, such as in operational and financial matters.
The successful candidate must also demonstrate a high level of conscientiousness, prove high reliability, resilience, and flexibility as well as a flawless criminal record check to successfully pass a DBS check.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the supply chain processes, ensuring efficient movement of goods from suppliers to customers.

Duties
Supporting customer, suppliers, and various transport provider as an in-house service provider and acting as main point of contact
Preparation and action all transport related duties such as receiving and checking of consignments (in/out), labelling consignments for dispatch, loading and unloading of the van, document processing & POD's as well as general administration and customer support.
Utilise transportation management systems to track shipments and manage logistics operations effectively.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customer, shipper as well as service provider to ensure seamless logistics operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
Monitor performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of logistics strategies and make recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
Exceptional customer service is essential.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and administration is essential.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail is essential.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple tasks effectively is essential.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for liaising with various stakeholders is essential.
Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, as well as picking and packing procedures is preferred.
Familiarity with transportation management systems and warehouse management systems is of advantage.
You will be required to prove a complete and gapless work/education history.
You must have the right to work in the UK with no unspent criminal convictions.
Valid passport
DBS and further security checks must be passed.
GCSE / O Level
Full & clean UK driving licence (2 years min)
