Overview
The Logistics Specialist is primarily responsible for the receiving and issuing of goods to ensure that all items are tracked in line with the company policy. Additionally, as needed, the purchasing of goods, maintenance services, & services used by various teams, when needed within the EMEA Region of TNS.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for receiving deliveries, moving stock, providing updates, maintain inventory records and assets of the Company on ERP.
Booking shipments within the UK (domestic) and to the EU and globally (exports), preparing customs paperwork.
Carries out regular and systematic inventory audits on all items.
Monitors purchase orders to ensure that goods and services are delivered on time, to specification and at the correct price.
Tracks and documents equipment, systems and property of the Company; maintains accurate, up to date record of location and status of assets.
Enters data necessary to generate a Purchase Order into ERP (Rootstock) and route for approval.
Solicits, receives, reviews and compares quotes for goods and services from various suppliers.
Preparing regular status reports.
Any other duties assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
RequiredExperience in international shipping procedures, documentations & requirements.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
Strong attention to detail, documentation and well organized.
Experience & knowledge with Microsoft applications - Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams etc.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with various groups including: Operations, Finance, Legal and external suppliers.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as thrive in a team environment.
Desirable1+ Years experience working in a Supply Chain position.
Industry experience in telecommunications / financial services.
Familiarity with requirements for Supply Chain Functions.
Experience working in an Enterprise ERP System (Workday, Rootstock, Oracle, SAP).
Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or a business related discipline advantageous.
