As a Logistics supervisor, you will be a key member of our team, playing an integral part in the success of the business. We are looking for a highly organised, adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced ever-changing environment. The ideal candidate will be a natural communicator with a positive, proactive attitude, eager to contribute to the growth of the company and be part of our winning team.

A day in the life of a Murphy Logistics Supervisor

Management of a 15-vehicle fleet Ensure that drivers comply with drivers' hours and tachograph rules and with speed limits. Ensure that vehicles are maintained, including PMIs and defects remedied Management of vehicle and driver defects Ensure all records are accurate and kept for a period of no less than 15 months. Ensure compliance with ADR Regulations Monitor the DVSA Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS) system Investigate all road-side checks by DVSA Utilise the company vehicle tracker system for the control of HGV Drivers. Keep up to date with changes to transport legislation, attending relevant training as required. Plan the development of HGV drivers through periodic driver CPC training. Ensure reporting of Health & Safety incidents in line with Group expectations.

Must have previous logistics experience Possess extensive knowledge of transport regulations Experience within a construction/engineering or similar background would be beneficial Literate and numerate with proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other office applications. Experience of managing people and developing talent.
