The children, staff and Governors wish to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated and capable Activity Club Assistant and Educational Teaching Assistant to play a key role in supporting the children in Reception over lunchtime and working with the children in Nursery as an educational teaching assistant.
Experience of working with children/young people in a school environment is essential for this job, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and staff members.
The successful candidates will work the following -
Reception Lunchtime Assistant - 11:45am to 12:45pm each day (term time only)
This is a fixed term role to cover a maternity leave until 31st March 2026 (but could be extended).
Educational Teaching Assistant in Nursery - Tuesday, Thurs and Friday from 12:45pm to 3:15pm and Wednesday from 8:30am to 11:30am.
This is a fixed term role until 31st December 2025 but could be extended.
The role will include -
Promoting and encouraging good table manners and healthy eating
Promoting and encouraging games and activities at lunchtime
Working as a team with the other staff and liaising with teachers as needed
Ensuring appropriate behaviour and dealing with any issues during the lunchtime
Supporting children in Nursery in accessing the provision and developing their learning and social skills
Being a key worker and keeping electronic logs of progress for children in Nursery
Working under the direction of the teacher
