Boundstone Nursery is a large maintained Nursery School which supports children and families in the Lancing Area of West Sussex; we are an important part of the community and pride ourselves in knowing each child as an individual.
We are a fully inclusive Nursery and as part of our provision we have a Special Support Centre which supports children with Speech and Language disorders.
Job Details
We are looking forward to appointing a friendly and hard working Lunchtime Assistant to support the lunchtime sessions with children aged 2-4 in our Nursery School. During lunchtimes, you will be sitting with a small group of children, encouraging them to develop independence skills and creating a warm, nurturing atmosphere, then helping with clearing away and washing up afterwards.

Payment
12.26 per hour (West Sussex Grade 2) term time only
Contract
10 hours per week (12.00pm-1.00pm daily). Temporary for the Spring/Summer, but with the potential to become permanent, depending on pupil intake for the Autumn Term.

What You Need to Succeed
The successful candidate will need to work efficiently and as part of a team. They will need to have a basic understanding of the principles of food hygiene and either hold or be willing to undergo training for a Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification. They will also have the ability to see what needs to be done and use their initiative. A love of children is essential for the post, but no childcare qualifications are required, although these would be most welcome. Some previous experience in a similar role is also desirable, but not essential
