The role: * Co-ordinate the daily activities of permanent dayshift maintenance personnel

  • Update and present scorecard boards on a weekly basis for your area of responsibility
  • Train, assist and monitor all new/temporary employees.
  • Complete all required paperwork and confirm accuracy.
  • Inform maintenance supervisor of all problems.
  • Assist maintenance supervisor with human resource matters.
  • Liaise with production managers/cell leaders regarding workload requirements.
  • Have excellent oral/presentation skills
  • Drive forward TPM and 5S activities within the department
  • Develop and report on Team KPIs
  • Inform your team of all updates from the company and any other communications as and when they are issued
  • Ensure downtime codes on production reports are assigned correctly
  • Co-ordinate pre audit activities to ensure criteria achieved

Essential Criteria:
  • HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
  • 3 Years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a Maintenance Engineer role.
  • Time-served electrical engineer
  • Previous experience in an industrial maintenance environment
  • Proven knowledge and experience of fault finding and repair
  • Knowledge and experience of the implementation of good health, safety and environmental practice
  • Able to lead and motivate a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Customer focus and teamwork skills
  • High level of initiative and self-motivation
  • Problem solving skills
  • Leadership Skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable Criteria:
  • Previous experience in a leadership role.
