About the Role
As a Machine Minder, you'll be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of machinery in our poultry processing plant. You'll play a key role in keeping production efficient, safe, and on schedule, ensuring our high standards of quality are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out machine set up and prestart checks. Ensure machine is safe to operate. Carry out label reel changes. Label print and verification checks, final product quality inspection. Monitor and operate processing machinery to ensure optimal performance. Carry out routine checks, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment. Ensure machine is operating at maximum efficiency. Quickly respond to machine faults and carry out basic adjustments or repairs. Work closely with production supervisors to meet daily targets. Maintain accurate records of machine performance and maintenance. Follow all good manufacturing practices, health, safety, and hygiene procedures in line with company policies. Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve processes.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player. Comfortable working in a chilled food processing environment. Willingness to follow strict health, safety, and hygiene guidelines.
Desirable:
A good standard of both spoken and written English and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Previous experience in a food production or factory environment. Experience operating or maintaining machinery. Own transport (due to rural location). Level 2 Food Hygiene / Safety certification.

Location & Hours
Based in Norfolk; own transport highly recommended due to rural location
Full-time Monday to Friday 16:15 - 02:15 (47.5 Hours per week) Flexibility required for shift work, including early mornings or evenings
