We are recruiting for a Machine Operative to work in our Crawley Footwear factory (workmasterboots.com). Working Monday to Friday, 40 hrs per week (with occasional overtime). Normal working hours are 08.30 - 17.00 hours. Overtime is at enhanced rates.

Respirex are manufacturers of market-leading industrial personal protective clothing that are sold globally. Our dedicated Crawley site uses state-of-the- art production methods and relies upon collaborative team-work to make our boots efficiently.

Ideally you will have previous experience within a manufacturing environment, but we will consider applications from people who do not have this because we will train you in full. It would be great if you have a Fork Lift Truck License but it is not essential.

Scope:

To work as part of the team on the shop floor to produce high quality protective footwear.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Maintaining and promoting a clean and organised work environment Ensuring our customer orders are met to our high standards of quality Ensuring all safety and compliance procedures are maintained accurately and consistently Working with line managers to continuously improve process and procedures Assisting with maintenance of equipment and cleaning as required Complete quality checks and record results, reporting any non-conformances Contribute to meeting team and company-wide production targets, which make a real difference to our business and our customers To carry out duties involving manual handling, lifting of heavy objects, and repetitive motions. The role requires good manual dexterity and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Experience:

Working within a warehouse/manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated, be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team, have an organised/systematic approach to their work and possess good communication skills.
