MACHINE OPERATIVE

Hours:

Full time

Current Shifts:

Mon-Fri: 5.30am-2pm/2pm-10.30pm (weekly rotation)

Job Role:

Operating the machines safely and efficiently to produce high quality products

Reporting any mechanical or electrical issues to site engineers

Feeding Raw material into machines to ensure effective running of the production line

Oversee and organise changeover of products

Keep machine clean and operating efficiently

Train additional operatives as and when required

Attend daily shift meetings

Overtime is paid after 48 hours at time and a quarter

Who we are looking for:

Minimum of a years experience, working in a high-volume, food manufacturing environment or similar

Good numeracy skills and understanding of the metric system

Excellent Team Player

Self Motivated

Good decision making skills and ability to work under pressure

Ability to work in a chilled environment

Knowledge and experience of working to BRC standards within food manufacturing would be an advantage

Ability to understand and communicate in English

The Company:

We are a family run business that supply frozen fruit and frozen fruit mixes to the food sector globally. We have recently moved in to a purpose-built facility in Ledbury as the company has seen significant growth in the last 4 years.
