Shift is Monday to Thursday Only
6am till 4.30pm and in January will be 6am till 6pm Monday to Thursday
Overtime is paid after 48 hours at 19.06 per hour - First 48 hours is 12.71 per hour
Pay is weekly every Friday

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machinery to produce high-quality components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in fabrication, assembly, and materials handling. The ideal applicant will possess solid technical knowledge, be detail-oriented, and committed to safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and adjust machinery used in fabrication and assembly processes to ensure optimal performance.
Set up machines according to specifications, including programming logic controllers (PLCs) where applicable.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety standards are met.
Use hand tools, welding equipment, and tooling to assemble parts or make adjustments as required.
Handle materials safely, including loading and unloading raw materials or finished products within the warehouse or production area.
Read technical drawings using CAD software such as SolidWorks or other design programmes to facilitate accurate fabrication.
Perform basic maths calculations for measurements, tolerances, and material quantities during production processes.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with team members on continuous improvement initiatives to optimise manufacturing processes.
Skills
Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, welding, milling, or related manufacturing roles.
Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar programmes.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised tooling for assembly or adjustments.
Experience with materials handling within a warehouse or production setting.
Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control checks.
Familiarity with materials such as metals or plastics used in manufacturing processes.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
