Woven Art Company is a growing and ambitious textile digital printing and wholesale business based on the outskirts of Clitheroe. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Machine/Production Operative to join our team on a full-time basis.
As the business continues to grow, some flexibility in working hours may occasionally be required.
Key duties include:
Working independently and supporting different departments as workload requires
Working closely with the Warehouse Manager
Managing day-to-day production within the printing department
Loading and unloading digital print machines (full training provided; experience advantageous)
Operating heat press machinery as part of the textile finishing process
(training provided)
Following cleaning and maintenance routines for printing and heat press machinery
Meeting production targets and developing knowledge of the digital printing process
Manual handling of raw materials, rolls of fabric, and finished textile products
Regular lifting, moving, and carrying items as part of daily duties
Using our in-house production software systems (basic computer skills required; full training provided)
What we require from you:
A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
Good level of reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
Basic computer literacy
Physical capability to carry out manual handling tasks
, including lifting, moving, and standing for long periods
Commitment to following health & safety procedures and safe working practices
Previous production or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential
Important physical requirements of the role:
This is a
hands-on, physically demanding position
You must be comfortable with standing for long periods, repetitive tasks, lifting and moving materials
Desirable:
Forklift truck licence (advantageous but not essential)
