uchanan Skip Hire is a local family waste management company with industrial and agricultural yards in West Lothian. Due to a recent expansion and increased work load, we are looking to add to our team of capable plant and machinery operators.

Candidates with experience operating either loading shovels, tele-handlers, telescopic grabs or farming machinery such as tractors, balers etc. would be preferable.

Summary

In this role, you will play a crucial part in our operations, ensuring the efficient handling and processing of materials while contributing to our mission of environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities

Operate machinery safely and efficiently to process materials. Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to streamline operations and improve workflow. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Assist in training new operators on machinery usage and safety practices. Monitor production output and report any issues to supervisors. Maintain accurate records of machine operations and maintenance activities. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a farming, manufacturing or waste management environment. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards. Pay: 12.23-14.70 per hour
