Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator/Tea Blender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating machinery within a warehouse or manufacturing environment. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools. The role involves blending teas, making teabags and ensuring the efficient operation of equipment to meet production goals.
Duties
Operate and monitor tea-bagging machine independently (for which adequate training will be provided), ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are maintained.
Conduct routine maintenance on machines, identifying any issues and performing necessary repairs if required.
Handle materials efficiently, including receipt and storage of goods within the warehouse.
Maintain accurate records of production output and machine performance metrics using Microsoft Excel.
Ensure the machines and the production area are clean before and after work and in between each run in order to meet the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
Weigh the different ingredients in the correct ratio and make the tea blends in the tea blending machine as per the specifications provided
Pack the goods for sending out to the customers into boxes and/or pallets as required and assist the team with the overall operations and upkeep of goods.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively.
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
Ability to handle materials safely, with an understanding of food hygiene and proper lifting techniques.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently with minimal support. After 5pm you may be the only person in the building so apply only if you are comfortable with this.
Available to do overtime/weekend work if and when required. You will be adequately reimbursed for any overtime work at the overtime rate.

: 3pm to 9pm, Monday to Friday (but there is room for some flexibility)
