Job Description

Dannells Ltd manufactures and converts materials and components for the lampshade industry. We operate in many sectors and supply our products to customers through our online retail shop.

We seek an experienced machine minder to operate various machines and equipment in our production facility.

The selected candidate will receive training in reeling, winding, cutting, and converting textiles, plastics, and cardboard using various equipment.

Core Responsibilities

Operating Machinery:

Responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery.

Setup and Adjustment:

Set up machines, adjust settings, and ensure they operate correctly according to specifications.

Monitoring and Maintenance:

Monitor the machines during operation, identify potential problems, and perform routine maintenance tasks.

Quality Control:

Ensure the quality of the machines' products or materials, inspect for defects, and adjust as needed.

Safety Awareness:

Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Communication:

Effective communication skills are essential for coordinating with other workers and reporting issues.

Skills and Requirements:

Minimum of two years of experience as a machine operator or minder, preferably working with textiles or material handling in a similar manufacturing environment.

Attention to detail for inspecting and evaluating the quality of textiles and coatings.

Ability to control and operate machinery.

Good physical health for loading, unloading, and lifting materials.

Ability to work well with others.

Strong attention to detail.

Good communication skills.

Numerate and literate.
