Camira are a multi-award-winning textile manufacturer with two centuries of heritage and a forward-thinking approach to innovation and sustainability, Camira designs and manufactures environmental fabrics for the commercial, public transport and residential sectors.
Purpose of the role
To operate Stoll knitting machines efficiently and accurately during weekend shifts, ensuring the production of high-quality textile products in line with customer specifications. This role is ideal for individuals seeking weekend work with a structured weekday training program (6-12 weeks) to gain full competency and sign-off before transitioning to weekend-only operations.
The day to day
To adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements
Produce products to the agreed specification by following processes
Quality checking to ensure a quality product is knitted and delivered to the customer
Maintain Stoll machines to in accordance with standard working practices to ensure smooth running operation and efficiency of the machine
Ensure a smooth shift handover by attending daily meetings
Change over machines to ensure smooth running of the manufacturing process
Other Considerations
Data Input required
Previous experience, or an understanding of, continuous improvement initiatives
Experience within a production environment and/or machine operator role would be beneficial
Methodical approach
This is a weekend role, however full training will be provided during the week, following our regular shift patterns.
Shift Pattern
This position requires working a 3- week rotational shift pattern, for 6-12 weeks or until signed off by your trainer.
Week 1: Monday to Friday: 06:00 - 14:00
Week 2: Monday to Friday: 14:00 - 22:00
Week 3: Sunday to Thursday: 22:00 - 06:00
