Job Description

Job Purpose:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable

Machine Operator

to join our production team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the manufacture of medical equipment and supplies, ensuring all products meet our high-quality standards.

Accountabilities

Operate production machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to maintain product quality and consistency.

Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet required specifications.

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.

Report equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor immediately.

Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.

Follow all health and safety regulations and ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Assist with packaging, labelling, and other duties as required within the production area.

Skills, Training and Knowledge Required

Essential:

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.

Experience operating industrial or semi-automated machinery is an advantage.

Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Basic math and reading skills.

Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent problem-solving skills

IT Skills, including Excel and Word

Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work

Attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable:

IOSH/NEBOSH certification (desirable).

Valid driving license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
