Role Overview:
The Machine Setter/Operator will set and operate CNC lathes. Ideally with Star or sliding head experience.
Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on...
Setting computer numerically controlled (CNC) lathes
Producing parts to drawing, deburring, cleaning and packaging to set procedures
Ensuring excellent quality through the inspection of parts using measuring equipment such as gauges, verniers and micrometers
Working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), production rates, workplace organisation, front line operator asset care (FLOAC), maintenance and cleanliness of machine equipment
Understanding and complying with Company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) practices, identifying areas for improvement and supporting related initiatives
Engaging, suggesting and contribution to continuous improvement initiatives and projects as required
Your previous experience is likely to include....
Basic CNC setting and operating experience
Experience with sliding head/star
Basic experience with measuring equipment
Working within a production environment
Working with basic computer skills
Gaining NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Manufacturing
