Role Purpose
Vispring are seeking an experienced Machine Setter Operator to join the Plymouth team supporting continued product growth.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Spring manufacturing is at the core of Vispring products, and we have a number of specialist machines for the task. This role requires a combination of technical skills including:
Interpret drawings and perform precise adjustments
Understand quality control through inspection and measurement ensuring the accuracy of finished products
Conduct regular maintenance to keep the work area safe and clean
Troubleshoot machine malfunctions during operation
Regular machine changeovers
Forklift counterbalance
Essential Skills & Attributes
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in operating and setting up machinery, including reading mechanical drawings, and performing precise measurements. You will be comfortable around non digital equipment and able to diagnose what is required from first principles
Attention to Detail:
A keen eye and ear for detail is crucial for maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring accuracy
Problem-Solving:
The ability to troubleshoot and make on-the-spot adjustments to machinery
Mechanical Aptitude:
A good understanding of machinery and how it works.
Communication:
Ability to communicate effectively with team members to optimize production
Stamina & Initiative:
Physical stamina for the role and the ability to work independently and under pressure
Personal:
Ability to assimilate with the existing team and contribute positively bringing energy and enthusiasm
