Part of the Precision Technologies Group of companies, Holroyd Precision Ltd is an award winning successful Machine Tool manufacturer, producing high value precision engineered capital equipment.

Our gear, thread grinding and rotor milling machines produce the world's most accurate ultra- precision components for a diverse range of industries including Aerospace, Marine, Power Generation and High End Automotive.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the engineering team at our Milnrow Factory which is ideally located just off the M62.

Person specification:

As a Mechanical/ Machine Tool Fitter you will perform general fitting and assembly duties, you will be apprentice trained or a time served fitter and be able to assemble from component level and work with minimum supervision.

You will have previous experience of building special purpose machines and must be able to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics.

You must be able to use various measuring tools (using either metric or imperial) to set up fixtures. You should have practical experience in a machine tool build role including hand scraping, close fit assemblies, and be able to read from build charts.

Experience in hydraulics or pneumatics would be an advantage, as would working with bearing assemblies, gears and alignment of machines.

Ideally we are looking for someone who has held a position as a Mechanical Fitter, or similar role, working on heavy or complex machinery either in machine manufacturing or maintenance.

You must be flexible and be willing to travel on occasion, including internationally, to assist with machine installations.

Salary and benefits:

Working a 4 day week (37 hrs) with an

11.45am finish on a Friday

, competitive salary plus premium rates for overtime, life assurance, pension of up to 6% matched contributions, 25 days holiday increasing with service, plus 8 days statutory.
