Bo'ness Care Home is looking for a dependable, practical Maintenance Technician who can keep the building running smoothly and respond quickly when issues arise. You'll play a key part in maintaining a safe, comfortable environment for residents.
Duties
Carry out routine repairs and general maintenance: plumbing, basic electrics, painting, joinery, equipment checks.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests.
Complete compliance checks, inspections, and digital record-keeping.
Use basic IT systems for logs, digital checklists, maintenance schedules, and communication.
Work with external contractors when specialist skills are required.
Maintain outdoor areas to a safe and tidy standard.
Follow all health and safety requirements.
Requirements
Hands-on maintenance experience, ideally in a care home or similar environment.
Practical skills and confidence with tools and basic building systems.
Basic IT literacy (email, digital forms, maintenance software).
Proactive attitude, good organisation, and solid problem-solving skills.
Professional and respectful approach around residents and staff.
Willingness to complete or update a PVG check.
