St Paul's is a selective Independent Day School for boys aged 13-18, occupying a superb 45-acre site on the south bank of the Thames, west of Hammersmith Bridge. Summary
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Electrician to support the smooth operation of our school. This is a hands-on role for a qualified electrician who enjoys varied work and takes pride in maintaining high standards. The selected candidate will be part of a dedicated maintenance team, handling both planned preventative maintenance and responsive repairs across the school.
Duties will include statutory checks, PPM tasks, and responding to helpdesk requests. The day-to-day tasking of the Maintenance Electrician will be the responsibility of the Deputy Estates Manager, although they will also be expected to work independently and collaborate with contractors and other trades as needed.
Although based mainly at St Paul's School, occasional work at other school-owned properties may be required.
Salary
Competitive salary + benefits.
Hours
40 hours per week, 8.00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, with 30 mins unpaid lunch break and 2 x 15 mins paid tea breaks. Evening and weekend work will be required, overtime payments and/or TOIL (Time Off in Lieu) for these events will be subject to agreement with the Head of Estates. The post holder will also be part of the duty staff on-call rota within the Estates Department, which attracts an annual payment incorporated into the basic salary.
