We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment carrying out EICRs with confidence, Emergency light testing and reactive maintenance works. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, as well as proficiency in using various power and hand tools. Experience in Fire Alarm systems and CCTV would be an advantage although all relevant training can be provided for the right candidate.
The Maintenance Electrician will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards and minimising downtime through effective troubleshooting and repair.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems and equipment to identify potential issues.
Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical components, including wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting systems.
Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions to restore functionality.
Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Perform periodic testing and remedials on electrical systems.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing tasks.
Assist in the installation of new electrical systems or upgrades as required.
Skills
A minimum of 5 years experience as a maintenance electrician or similar role in residential and commercial maintenance
18th Edition
NVQ Level 3
Full Drivers licence
Strong knowledge of electrical principles and practices.
Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to electrical maintenance tasks.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills to effectively liaise with colleagues and management.
