Due to our continuous growth, we now wish to add to our team by recruiting additional Maintenance Engineers to join the talent at VSM.
The Role:
You'll be part of a skilled and supportive team, working across a variety of projects for our clients at multiple sites. Your mechanical and electrical expertise and fault-finding abilities will be put to good use across a wide range of tasks, from upgrades and assembling or installing machinery, to providing planned maintenance and responding to breakdowns.
This is a hands-on, varied role that includes both project-based work and reactive or preventative electrical maintenance across different factory environments. We're looking for a talented and experienced multi-skilled individual who enjoys diversity in their day-to-day and takes pride in delivering high-quality work wherever they go.

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday), with core hours of 8am to 4.30pm. There may be occasional weekend or shift work depending on customer needs, for which additional compensation will be provided.
Essential Criteria:
Recognised Level 3 or above qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Multi-skilled Maintenance
2 years + proven experience in a maintenance role within a factory or industrial setting
Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work safely and efficiently
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to travel to various customer sites
Experience with planned preventative maintenance
Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems
Awareness of and adherence to H&S and food safety standards
A full UK/EU driving licence
Desirable Criteria:
Prior experience delivering maintenance solutions in a fast paced food and/or beverage production environment
Food Safety certification
Familiarity with health & safety procedures in high-care or hygiene-critical environments
IPAF, forklift or confined space certifications
Personal Skills/Attributes:
Reliable, trustworthy, flexible and focused individual
Excellent organisation and communication skills
Excellent problem solver with analytical and critical thinking
Physically fit and agile, ability to work comfortably at heights and confined spaces
Excellent time keeper and time manager of tasks or projects

30,000 - 40,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications
