PURPOSE OF ROLE:



To provide preventative maintenance of equipment, machines, jigs and fixtures across Production and Warehouse area. Ensure Health & Safety concerns are prioritised, and equipment availability is maximised.

Respond to non-planned breakdown in timely manner ensuring all repairs, engineering works are done promptly, efficiently and to the correct standard to minimise down time.

Support Production with machine settings and provide training to ensure Production retain flexibility to plan production according to demand structure.

Provide support in process diagnostics and Development trials to identify risks with product integrity and opportunities to make efficiency gains.

Provide regular updates to Technical Director with concerns on equipment sustainability and or concerns with safety, raise opportunities for efficiency improvements.

KEY ACTIVITIES:



Maintaining a log of machine service intervention history and planned maintenance including inspection schedules.

Machine servicing and repairs in accordance with preventative maintenance schedule.

Maintain a log of spares sourcing and usage history, maintain min stock levels on consumables and high usage parts.

Immediate response to unplanned failure of equipment breakdown.

Provide support with new product production trials and provide feedback on any identified issues to be resolved before launch.

Managing external contractors to ensure servicing and repairs are completed on time and in accordance with any statutory demands for certification.

Plan and agree setting changes when involved around Production demand ensuring minimum disruption to production demands.

Contribute to departmental improvements that maximise efficiency of systems within the scope of ISO Quality Management System.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE



Industrial Electrical Maintenance, PLC Fault Finding. Pneumatic and electro-pneumatic systems maintenance and fault finding. Machine shop practices in use of drills and lathes. Reading Mechanical and Electrical Drawings IT Literate, proficient use of word, excel and internet. National Diploma in Engineering will be desirable. Minimum 2 year experience in maintenance role.
The right candidate will be looking to increase their knowledge base in a multi-disciplined environment, proactively support the business objectives for investment in automations to drive efficiencies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
