Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical / Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. It is a great time to join Newspace! Over the last 2 years we have made significant investment in our site and machinery which includes new Press Brakes and Line.

The environment is fast paced, the role is varied, and no two days are the same. Working as part of a small team the Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of site machinery through a combination of planned and reactive maintenance. Working knowledge of TPM is desirable however full training will be provided.

To be successful in this role you will need to be self-driven, tenacious and a natural problem solver with the ability integrate into an established team.

Main Responsibilities:

Conduct electrical and mechanical maintenance duties across the site Provide maintenance and repair services for a range of manufacturing machinery Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance activities Ensure that all maintenance activities are completed in a timely manner Hand Tool / Harness Repair Liaise with other departments to identify and resolve any problems Monitor consumable stock levels & order replacement stock Ensure that all safety, quality and environmental requirements are met Building maintenance

Requirements:

18th Edition approved Extensive electrical maintenance experience Strong mechanical ability Good communication skills Computer literate Able to use various types of power tools Physically capable of performing all roles within the team Comfortable working at height Able to interpret documents, reports, drawings i.e., safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, manuals etc. Prepared to undergo development and training

Desirable:

FLT Licence PPT Licence Welding Experience IPAF / MEWP Licence Building / Plumbing Skills
The salary is up to 45,000 per annum based on experience.
