Integral Surface Designs are looking for a Maintenance engineer to help look after a busy manufacturing facility in Skelmersdale. Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer whom is tired of travelling, working nights and weekends and wants the opportunity to join a fast growing family business?

Integral Surface Designs are experts in the development and production of made to measure Vinyl wrapped doors. We are a key supplier to the kitchen and bedroom sectors offering a just in time service. Based in Skelmersdale, our 60000 square foot manufacturing facility is equipped with a vast array of modern CNC machines, vacuum presses and other wood working machinery.

We are looking for a pro-active Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to help strengthen our existing team, you will be a key member of the team carrying out the maintenance, repair and improvement of all equipment through planned and non-planned activities in order to maximise plant performance and maintain equipment to the required standard.

Although not essential experience working with wood working machinery would be preferred.

What you'll be doing as our Maintenance Engineer:

Preventative and reactive maintenance of a variety of manufacturing equipment including CNC machining centres, Saws, Vacuum presses, edgebanders, Extraction systems, boilers and compressors Preventative and reactive maintenance of a variety of equipment systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, vacuum, HVAC etc. Plan and prioritise your work to support production Work with external engineers and contractors from our machine suppliers. Responding to breakdowns and identifying faults in order to get production back on track as soon as possible Reporting of equipment faults and concerns to management, including root cause analysis. Comply with all H&S procedures, legislation and company policies. Ensure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard.

Required Skills:

Understanding of PLC's, Variable drives, control, and instrumentation. A knowledge of both mechanical and electrical processes and systems Problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative. The ability to work as part of a team and on your own with minimum supervision. A current driver's license.

Preferred but not essential:

Experience working with woodworking machinery Welding experience.
