We're looking for a dedicated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our friendly manufacturing team in St Ives, Cornwall. With the support of the Engineering Manager, you'll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly as we continue to grow.

About the Role



As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll work closely with the Engineering Manager and production teams to maintain and improve our manufacturing equipment and systems. Your focus will be on keeping our operations safe, efficient, and reliable through planned maintenance, quick response to breakdowns, and continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities



Carry out regular maintenance inspections and scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime Troubleshoot issues impacting product quality and production efficiency Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and food industry standards Identify and implement improvements to support operational efficiency Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement projects Maintain accurate maintenance records using our CMMS system

About You



You'll be a qualified Multi-Skilled Engineer with both mechanical and electrical skills. Ideally, you'll have previous experience in a food manufacturing environment and a working knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, including:

Health & Safety Food Safety & Hygiene HACCP

Technical Skills & Experience:



Diagnostics, testing, and repair of both mechanical and electrical systems Installation and setup of mechanical components (e.g. belts, bearings) Welding and fabrication Ability to prioritise and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working independently or as part of a small, hands-on team Flexible to support production needs, including occasional weekend or evening work

Pay: 38,000.00-40,000.00 per year
