About the Role:



We are currently seeking a Resident Maintenance Engineer to join our on-site team at a high-profile automated warehouse in Thatcham. This hands-on role is key to ensuring the reliability and performance of a fast-moving, automated intralogistics environment.

Reporting to the Resident Maintenance Site Supervisor, you will carry out both planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs, working closely with the on-site team and customer to maintain operational efficiency.

The role follows a Panama shift pattern (24/7 rotation), alternating between 06:00-18:00 and 18:00-06:00, averaging 42 hours per week.
Starting salary: 47,500 rising to 50,000 after probation, plus benefits.

Key Requirements:



Level 3 qualification (ONC/HNC/BTEC/NVQ) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Time-served apprenticeship in a relevant discipline Multi-skilled (Electrical/Mechanical); PLC and CMMS experience desirable Experience with automated materials handling systems Comfortable working at height Strong communication and problem-solving skills Health & Safety qualifications are a plus

Main Responsibilities:



Perform maintenance and fault-finding on automated handling equipment Deliver PPM and reactive tasks to high standards Log activities in the CMMS system Work closely with the customer to resolve issues and improve system reliability Contribute to continuous improvement and safety initiatives
