Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves caring for gardens and outdoor spaces, ensuring they are healthy, vibrant, and aesthetically pleasing. The Gardener will utilise both hand tools and power tools to perform various gardening tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

Maintain gardens by planting, watering, pruning, and fertilising plants to promote healthy growth. Perform groundskeeping duties including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and weeding flower beds. Operate and maintain gardening equipment such as power tools and hand tools to ensure efficient work processes. Irrigate plants using appropriate techniques to ensure optimal moisture levels in the soil. Assist in the design and implementation of new garden layouts or landscaping projects as required. Monitor plant health and identify any signs of disease or pest infestations, taking appropriate action as needed. Keep records of plant care activities and report any issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications

Proven experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in gardening tasks. Knowledge of plant species, growth requirements, and effective irrigation methods. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina to perform manual labour in various weather conditions. A genuine interest in growing plants and enhancing outdoor spaces.
