Maintenance / Handyman,Signature Group

Up to 40,000

37.5 Hours per week (occasional weekend working)

Edinburgh based,with regular travel across Scotland

We are now seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance/Handyman to join our team and help ensure our venues are consistently maintained to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out day-to-day maintenance tasks across our venues,including: Basic plumbing (unblocking drains,fixing leaks,replacing taps). Joinery and carpentry (repairs,shelving,fittings,doors,locks). Painting,decorating,and finishing works. Electrical (changing fittings,bulbs,fuses - non-certified tasks). Respond promptly to maintenance requests raised by venue teams. Ensure all venues are presented to a high standard,safe and fully operational. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance checks. Liaise with external contractors when specialist work is required. Support venue openings,refurbishments,and small project works. Manage tools,equipment,and materials responsibly. Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements at all times.

Required Skills

Proven experience in maintenance,handyman,or facilities roles. Competent across multiple trades,including plumbing,joinery,painting/decorating,and general repairs. Strong ability to work independently,manage time effectively,and prioritise tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive,"can-do" attitude. Flexible and adaptable,with the ability to travel between venues as needed. Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with venue teams. Full UK driving licence (use of a company vehicle may be provided).
