Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of repair, maintenance, and installation tasks across our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently or supervise a team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and strong customer service skills to ensure the smooth operation of our premises.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities Repair and replace electrical wiring, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with safety standards Perform welding tasks as required for structural repairs or modifications Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints to execute repairs accurately Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting and system adjustments Maintain mechanical systems, including motors, pumps, and conveyor belts Supervise junior staff or contractors during maintenance tasks to ensure safety and efficiency Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and organisational policies Assist in organising maintenance schedules and keeping detailed records of repairs undertaken Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal or external client requests promptly

Qualifications

Proven experience in maintenance or repair roles, with strong mechanical knowledge Proficiency in electrical systems and electrical experience is essential Skilled in welding techniques with relevant certifications preferred Ability to read schematics and operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) effectively Previous supervisory or leadership experience is desirable Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Customer service orientation with a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and quality

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22 - 33 per week
