The venue hosts weddings, events, and serves as a luxury hotel, surrounded by beautiful gardens and picturesque scenery. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Manager to ensure our property is always presented in pristine condition, while managing all maintenance and repair tasks with a proactive and hands-on approach.

Job Overview


As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep, functionality, and safety of Froyle Park's buildings, grounds, and facilities. You'll oversee daily maintenance tasks and respond to urgent repair needs. This is a very hands on role, suited to someone who enjoys getting stuck in!

Key Responsibilities



Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify areas requiring attention or improvement. Assist the Owners by project managing maintenance projects to improve our lovely Venue. Oversee and perform preventative maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other key systems. Coordinate and manage external contractors for larger repair or installation projects. Carry out routine repairs (painting, carpentry, minor electrical/plumbing fixes) to ensure the property is always in top condition. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times. Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff in a timely and professional manner. Maintain an organized inventory of tools, supplies, and parts necessary for repairs and upkeep. Assist in the preparation and execution of weddings and events, ensuring facilities are operating at optimal capacity. Handle on-call duties to respond to after-hours emergencies when necessary. Develop and manage a maintenance budget, prioritizing cost-effective solutions without sacrificing quality.

Ideal Candidate Characteristics and Skills



Proven experience in property maintenance or a similar managerial role. Hands-on expertise in various trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair work. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide external contractors. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of the property is maintained to the highest standards. Proactive problem solver, with the ability to assess issues and identify practical, cost-effective solutions. Flexibility to handle urgent repairs or emergencies outside of normal working hours. A positive attitude, with a passion for creating a safe and well-maintained environment for guests and staff alike.
