Maintenance Manager - Supported Accommodation (Birmingham Area)

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

Maintenance Manager

to oversee maintenance operations for our exempt supported accommodation services across the Birmingham area. This role involves managing a portfolio of

170+ properties

and leading a dedicated maintenance team to ensure all properties are safe, compliant, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate all internal and external maintenance activities. Lead and supervise the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance tasks. Develop, implement, and oversee maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance. Manage projects related to equipment upgrades, installations, or modifications, ensuring completion on time and within budget. Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues using schematics and technical manuals. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by conducting risk assessments and maintaining accurate documentation. Coordinate with other departments to plan maintenance activities around production schedules. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and equipment history for reporting purposes. Liaise with contractors and suppliers for external works and repairs. Monitor budgets and control costs related to maintenance operations.

Requirements

Proven experience in property maintenance and management. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external contractors. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
