Overview



We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Manager with a continuous improvement mindset to join our team at Satys Broughton. Reporting to the Site Manager, the Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and safe operation of all company industrial assets, tooling and facilities. The role includes budget and CAPEX management, ensuring critical asset uptime, contractor management, interacting with different stakeholders both internal and external, project management, driving continuous improvement, and optimising energy efficiency across site activities.

Duties



The below are to include but not limited to:

Lead, plan, and oversee all maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with budgets, schedules, safety standards, and full traceability within SAP and associated systems.

Control and monitor maintenance expenditure, ensuring cost efficiency, budget adherence, and financial accountability.

Control the management of equipment failures and technical issues, overseeing diagnostics, prioritisation, and implementation of effective corrective actions.

Lead the planning and execution of facility shutdowns, ensuring scope control, risk mitigation, and operational continuity.

Support the establishment and commissioning of new sites, ensuring maintenance strategies, resources, and compliance requirements are in place.

Provide leadership across maintenance-related projects, ensuring appropriate resourcing, governance, and delivery against objectives.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including performance monitoring, root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and KPI governance.

Define, review, and approve maintenance procedures, ensuring alignment with operational needs, regulatory requirements, and best practice.

Oversee the management of critical spare parts and inventory, ensuring availability, traceability, and cost-effective stock control.

Ensure compliance and governance of tools, measuring equipment, and PPE, including calibration, certification, and asset traceability.

Act as the primary technical and operational interface with maintenance subcontractors, managing performance, safety, and on-site coordination.

Lead maintenance procurement activities, including technical specification approval, supplier evaluation, contract support, and SAP purchasing processes.

Develop and deliver technical training programmes, ensuring competency, compliance, and continuous capability development across teams.

Qualifications:

A degree or formal qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering is desirable but not essential.

Demonstrated hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Practical experience with pneumatic systems and associated equipment.

Strong understanding of maintenance best practices, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.

Effective problem-solving skills with a proactive and structured approach to maintenance challenges.

Experience:

5 years of experience in a technical position (desirable)

Computer literacy - Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook as a minimum.

Managing a team.

Team Collaboration.

Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Works well in environments with changing demands and priorities.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience
