We are seeking a hands-on and proactive Hotel Maintenance Manager to oversee all property maintenance operations, ensuring the safety, functionality, and appearance of our hotel. This position is responsible for managing a small team and contractors, conducting regular inspections, performing preventative maintenance, and swiftly addressing any repairs to provide a safe, welcoming, and high-quality guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring all hotel systems and facilities are fully operational and well-maintained.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance and safety issues.
Respond promptly to guest and departmental maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.
Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors for specialised work.
Ensure compliance with local health, safety, fire, and building codes and regulations.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.
Participate in capital planning and property improvement projects as requested.
Provide emergency response support during critical incidents, including power outages, water leaks, or weather-related damage.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in facility or property maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
Experience with building management systems (BMS) is an advantage.
Familiarity with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings, when needed.
Leadership experience with ability to manage a small team.
