We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance department of our The Holiday Inn Express - London Ealing Hotel . As Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring, managing and coordinating all maintenance activities within our organization Your role will involve to make sure that all equipment and facilities are in good working order, and that any Maintenance issues are addressed promptly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, including managing staff schedules, assigning tasks, and ensuring that all work is completed on time and to a high standard.
Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs to ensure that all equipment and facilities are well-maintained and in good working order.
Managing the hotel's energy usage and implementing energy-saving measures where possible.
Ensuring that all engineering work is carried out safely and in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
Managing relationships with external contractors and suppliers, including negotiating contracts and ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and within budget.
Managing the hotel's budget for engineering work.
Conducting regular inspections of the hotel's facilities and equipment to identify any engineering issues and ensure that they are addressed promptly.
Keeping accurate records of all engineering work, including expenses, work completed, and parts used.
Providing reports to senior management on the status of engineering work and any issues that may arise.
Assisting with the recruitment, training, and development of maintenance staff.
Experience:
Previous experience in facility maintenance preferred but not required
Experience with plumbing and electrical work a plus but not required
Experience with HVAC a plus but not required
Ability to work independently or as part of a team a plus but not required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at time necessary
Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout the year (heat and cold)
This position requires a person who is self-motivated and has the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. The successful candidate must be organized and have good attention to detail. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
