We're the UK's largest ports operator with a network of 21 ports around Britain. We handle around one quarter of the UK's seaborne trade and contribute 7.5 billion to our economy every year.
It's a story we're proud of but it doesn't end there. We're transforming our business and embracing the future.
We offer a vast range of roles spanning the UK, all rooted in a culture that welcomes diversity, fosters talent, encourages internal movement and progression, and places safety as our number one priority.
We've recently restructured our senior engineering management team across the Humber to facilitate Continuous Improvement (CI) works across the region and support our continued business growth. Within this region we operate four ports, Hull & Goole on the North Bank and Immingham & Grimsby on the South Bank. One of our key terminals within Immingham is our HIT (Humber International Terminal) which processes a wide range of Biomass and Coal moving it from vessel to silo via a complex conveyor system. We're currently looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Manager, ideally from a process industry background, who can push the team forward to ensure high levels of operation across the terminal.
You'll need to be qualified to a minimum of HNC level, ideally educated to degree level, and will need to have experience of change management and CI activity within the heavy process engineering sector (mining, material handling, recycling, chemicals). With 4 direct reports, and an overall team of around 40, you should be able to demonstrate a track record of ensuring increased output and operational capabilities driven by specific measures the engineering team have undertaken.
