1. Role Purpose



We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager who can keep IntentsGP's sites, equipment, and temporary structures running smoothly and safely all year round. You'll take ownership of our maintenance plans, respond to issues as they arise, lead a small team, and play a key part in ensuring our event operations run without a hitch.
This role suits someone who enjoys variety, has strong technical expertise, and loves solving problems in fast-moving environments.

2. Key Responsibilities



2.1 Maintenance & Asset Management



Develop and deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules for all sites. Manage day-to-day maintenance tasks to keep downtime to a minimum. Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, and asset condition. Track and maintain stock of tools, materials, and spare parts. Oversee and be a part of the upkeep of temporary structures, modular buildings, toilets, showers, power systems, and other site infrastructure. Maintain assets and record maintenance at our premise.

2.2 Operational Support



Support site teams during busy event periods, including setup and breakdown. Provide technical guidance across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general maintenance tasks Respond quickly and confidently to urgent issues or emergencies.

2.3 Health, Safety & Compliance



Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with H&S regulations, including PUWER and LOLER. Carry out regular inspections and risk assessments. Make sure contractors meet our standards and follow safe working practices. Maintain all required documentation for audits and compliance checks.

2.4 Team Leadership & Management



Lead, support, and develop the maintenance team, including training, scheduling, and performance management. Bring in and coordinate external contractors when specialist skills are needed. Build a positive team culture focused on safety, responsibility, and continuous improvement.

2.5 Supplier & Contractor Management



Source materials, equipment, and services and manage supplier relationships. Obtain quotes, raise purchase orders, and keep maintenance budgets on track. Ensure all work carried out is high-quality and cost-effective.

3. Skills & Experience (Essential)



Proven experience in maintenance, engineering, logistics, or facilities management. Experience in the Armed Forces or similar structured environments is highly valued. Solid technical knowledge across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or general engineering disciplines. Experience leading teams and managing workloads, especially in time-sensitive environments. Strong organisational skills and a methodical, safety-first approach. Calm, effective problem-solver who can adapt to changing operational needs. Excellent understanding of health & safety principles. Ability to commute to our Malmesbury site daily, own vehicle required. Confident using Microsoft Office and digital systems.

Desirable



At least 5 years+ experience with modular systems, temporary facilities, or maintaining operational camps. Recognised trade certification (electrical, plumbing, mechanical) or equivalent military trade qualifications. IOSH or NEBOSH certification. Experience working with external contractors or multi-disciplinary teams. Background in logistics, equipment management, or operational planning. C1+E License with at least 2+ years experience.

5. Working Conditions



Full-time role; hours will vary depending on operational needs. Some evening or weekend work required during peak periods or events. Mix of office, workshop, and outdoor site environments. Travel across IntentsGP event site locations in the UK and Europe.

6. Package



Details to be confirmed based on company structure and salary bands
