Braeburn is a small nursing home looking for a part time maintenance person.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
This post is for 25 hours a week, working any 4 or 5 days of 7.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and inspection, and basic repairs on building, furniture and equipment where skilled to do so. Identify and address possible maintenance issues promptly to prevent larger problems. Respond to urgent maintenance requests promptly and effectively. Maintain accurate, legible maintenance schedules and records. Support contractors in the home and ensure quality of work. Follow health and safety checks including equipment, fire safety and emergency lighting. Support in maintaining external areas including gardens, pathways and care parks ensuring they are clean, safe and well presented Conduct seasonal tasks such as gritting in winter and snow removal

Skills

Painting and decorating skills Knowledge and understanding of statutory requirements for health and safety General maintenance skills Preferred - understanding of nursing homes Good communication skills
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From 13.97 per hour
