REQUIREMENTS:

- Good health.
- Knowledge of maintenance - high standard of painting, decorating, plastering small areas, plumbing, basic carpentry and equipment maintenance.
- Health and Safety requirements.

ROLE SPECIFICATION:

- To maintain the home to a high standard and within Health and Safety requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To perform routine maintenance of the home and grounds within Health and Safety
regulations.
- To report any maintenance problems to the Home Manager.
- To check maintenance book daily for any general repairs.
- To perform and record mandatory water checks on a weekly basis.
- To perform mandatory weekly fire alarm test and record in fire log book.
- To check emergency lighting daily and check battery backup for emergency light on a monthly
basis and record in fire log book.
- Check fire extinguishers monthly and record in fire log book.
- To perform daily checks of fire escapes and fire panel and record.
- To perform other daily maintenance jobs and record in maintenance book.
- To perform all weekly maintenance jobs and record in maintenance book.
- To perform all monthly kitchen maintenance jobs and record in maintenance book.
- To perform monthly maintenance jobs and record in maintenance book.
- To perform two monthly jobs and six monthly jobs and record in maintenance book.
- To decorate home according to decorating plan.
-To liaise with other contractors that come into the home to ensure that Health and Safety is
maintained in the home.

- To attend mandatory staff training when required.

- To work to COSHH regulations.

- To perform visual PAT checks on all electrical appliances that come into the home.
- To assist yearly PAT tests and ensure records up to date.
- To ensure exterior of the building is well presented and tidy.
