At Turning Point Scotland's Glasgow Alcohol & Drug Crisis Service, we provide a compassionate, low-threshold, direct-access service for people experiencing crisis due to alcohol or other drug use, including those who may be homeless. Our work includes a crisis residential unit, 24-hour Injecting Equipment Provision, wound care, harm-reduction support, signposting, and naloxone training.


Just like any busy residential service, things can go wrong from time to time -- and that's where you come in. We're looking for someone confident and hands-on, who can keep our environment safe, comfortable, and running smoothly for the people who rely on us. The service is easily accessible via public transport, alternatively parking is available.

What the role involves




You'll take the lead on day-to-day repairs and general maintenance, including:

Handling minor electrical fixes such as fuses, plugs, and replacing bulbs Carrying out basic joinery repairs, including window and door adjustments Managing routine decorating tasks like emulsion and gloss painting Coordinating and overseeing external contractors when specialist work is required Driving company vehicle to collect from local retailers.

Working hours




This is mainly a Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm role, and we're happy to offer some flexibility around start and finish times for the right person.
