MAINTENANCE PERSON - RURAL COUNTRY ESTATE (PART-TIME, 2-3 DAYS PER WEEK)


We are looking for a reliable, practical and self-motivated Maintenance Person to help with general upkeep and improvement works across a beautiful rural estate. This is a varied and hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable turning their hand to a wide range of tasks.

About the Role



Working independently or alongside the estate team, you will support the day-to-day maintenance of buildings, grounds, and estate facilities. No two days are the same -- tasks may range from fixing a leaking tap to repairing fences, painting buildings, or carrying out light construction work.

Key Responsibilities



General property maintenance across estate buildings and grounds Basic plumbing repairs (e.g., taps, pipes, toilets) Basic electrical jobs (e.g., changing fittings, minor repairs) Bricklaying and small repair works to walls, paths, and structures Carpentry tasks including repairs, installations, and small builds Chainsaw work (e.g., cutting fallen branches, light woodland management) Painting and decorating of internal and external areas Assisting with seasonal tasks such as clearing vegetation, guttering, and general estate upkeep Responding to maintenance requests in a timely, organised manner

Skills & Experience Required



Competence in

basic plumbing, electrics and bricklaying

Good

carpentry

skills

Chainsaw competence

(certification preferred) Confident with

painting

and general DIY tasks Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the job Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons Good communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude

Requirements



Own tools and vehicle capable of carrying ladders

Must have the right to work in the UK Relevant certificates (e.g., chainsaw) are desirable but not essential if experience is strong Reliability, punctuality, and a good work ethic

Hours & Pay



2-3 days per week

(flexible scheduling can be discussed) Competitive rate depending on experience
