Andros in the UK is a major supplier of ambient fruit-based conserves and chilled yogurts and desserts. They acquired in 2008, the Oldford dairy site (Somerset) and heavily invested in new, state-of-the-art, chilled desserts product lines, unique on the market.

The company has experienced rapid growth becoming a top 150 UK food & drink business in 2020. This growth has been driven across both the preserves and desserts categories through the success of the Bonne Maman brand as well as an extensive private label activity. The products are either imported or produced in the dedicated chilled dessert facility in the South West of England. There is an ambitious investment plan for the coming years.

We therefore have a position which will suit an individual who thrives in a fast pace environment where you will work on your own initiative completing daily varied tasks to a high standard.

Job Role

Reporting to the Lead Process Engineer, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for maintaining and repairing the Site and all its buildings.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Repair of site and its buildings, which may include tiling, painting, plastering, plumbing, cleaning, carpentry etc. Complete the tasks highlighted through various audits with the approval of the Line Manager Complete basic welding tasks as requested by Line Manager Maintain the site and buildings to a BRC AA+ standard Support site engineering teams when required

Experience & Skills

Experience in basic welding Genuine interest and aptitude in standard repairs and maintenance, example tiling, painting, plastering, basic plumbing and putting up shelves Understanding of Health & Safety and legislation requirements Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role

28,392.00 per annum
