At Arbour Healthcare Group, we don't just offer care - we create a sanctuary where we give change a chance. We are a vibrant and values-led organisation that champions the power of resilience, trauma-informed healing, and human connection. We exist to support young people with complex needs, helping them rewrite their stories, rediscover their identity, and realise their potential.
We are currently recruiting for Residential Support Workers to work in our specialist solo or dual-occupancy homes. We're looking for individuals who know that the journey we're on to challenge and change the lives of the young people within our care isn't always plain sailing, but it's absolutely one worth committing to.
This isn't a job for somebody who's happy to take a back seat. It's a role for somebody who will show up each day with the belief they can make an impact despite what's happened the day before. It's a role for somebody who's willing to be brave enough to use their initiative and have their voice heard.
The Role
We're looking for someone energetic, adventurous, and passionate about creating unforgettable experiences for young people.
In this role, you'll be the driving force behind planning and leading a variety of high-energy activities - think mountain biking, hiking, watersports and more.
You'll inspire our young person to try new things and push their boundaries in a safe and supportive way. This isn't a desk-based role - your enthusiasm, fitness and commitment to being hands-on are essential.
When you're on shifts, there's an expectation that activities are not only planned but actively delivered to meet the needs and interests of the young person in our care.
As a Residential Support Worker, you will:
Provide high-quality, person-centred care to children and young people, respecting their choices, dignity and privacy.
Plan, engage and implement activities and experiences that promote the development and well-being of children and young people.
Understand and adhere to safeguarding regulations and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children and young people.
Champion our RESET Care Model - ensuring young people are Reassured, Empowered, Supported, Educated and prepared for Transition
Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided, incidents and progress reports.
Our shift pattern has been designed and implemented to ensure consistent teams for our young people whilst also providing staff with the ability to have the time and space they need to reflect, reset and arrive at each shift able to give their best.
By applying for this position, you are confirming you can commit to the below shift pattern without restrictions.
The shift pattern is as follows:
Days - 1 in, 2 off
Shift Timings are 8am-8pm (Long Day), 8am-11pm & sleep till 8am (Long Day & Sleep)
