TBC Shane lives in the Barrhead area of East Renfrewshire in his own home and is looking for someone to join his small, dedicated support team.


Shane loves listening to music, meeting new people and playing pool.



A suitable applicant for Shane's team will be someone who is a driver, up for a challenge and motivated to support him lead a full and contented life whilst making new friends and building on his interests and finding new ones.



Shane requires support to manage his anxiety, he needs a lot of reassurance but also team members who are aware of when to take a step back and give him time out to process and reflect.


When Shane becomes anxious or upset he needs his support team to be able to keep him safe giving him a consistent response and support him confidently.

This position comes under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions Order).

This position has a "genuine occupational requirement" covered under the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 and therefore only applicants from males requested.*

You can only be appointed for this post if you are registered with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and are able to register with the Scottish Social Services Council when required for your post.
