Job Summary:
This is a hands-on role. responsible for delivering accurate and timely management accounts, supporting month-end processes, and providing insightful financial reporting and analysis. This role enables the organisation to understand and improve financial performance across The Brook Group, including both its hospitality and property operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the month-end process, ensuring all P&Ls, balance sheets, and supporting management information are accurate and delivered on time.
Own inter-company reconciliations and functional P&Ls.
Ensure monthly sales invoices are raised, accrued, and deferred income is calculated, and revenue is reconciled.
Conduct detailed reviews of P&Ls, balance sheets, supporting records, and management information.
Support year-end and external audit processes, responding to queries promptly.
Assist the broader finance team and internal stakeholders on financial matters as needed.
Provide support for purchase ledger, sales ledger, banking, bank reconciliations, or payroll activities when required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Timely and accurate completion of month-end accounts.
Accuracy of P&Ls, balance sheets, and inter-company reconciliations.
Compliance with financial reporting deadlines and statutory requirements.
Contribution to successful year-end and audit processes.
Responsiveness and support provided to internal stakeholders.
Person Specification:
Experience:
Proven experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
Prior experience working in a multi-site organisation.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
Proficiency in Sage Accounting software and Excel.
Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
Skills:
Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, providing leadership and guidance.
Proficient in producing high-quality management reporting and analysis.
